Keeping an eye on the weather when using an inflatable is very important, especially when strong wind or gusts are forecast.
All our bouncy castles and slides can be used in rain. Just be aware the fronts steps and bouncy castle does become very slippery.
The electric fans are rated IP44.
In the event of rain forecast we will call you up and discuss the options. There is no cancellation fee.
Wind, however, poses a a very dangerous problem. Health and Safety state that inflatables should not be used when the wind or gusts are in excess of the maximum safe wind speed specified by the manufacturer. The industry recommends a maximum wind speed of Force 5 on the Beaufort Scale of 30-38 kph 19-24 mph.
If strong wind or gusts are forecast for the day of your event and for your area then the booking will be cancelled by us for safety reasons. We use The Met Office website for our weather report.
We will contact you, usually a few days before, to inform you of the wind speeds and keep you up to date with any changes. If we do have to cancel your bouncy castle due to strong winds, it’s not something we like doing as we know how much planning and costs go into planning a party but safety comes first.
Inflatables set up outdoors are required to be secured with metals pegs when set up on grass. Sandbags used outdoors would be dangerous and risk being blown away in windy conditions.
